About Buxton Properties

John Buxton bought his first property 25 years ago and began specialising in student accommodation in 1989.  From the very beginning he aimed to provide high quality, well maintained accommodation at fair and reasonable prices.  These days he runs the business with his son Matthew and this ethos still applies.  They currently own 39 properties in the most popular student areas of Nottingham and as a family business they are able to provide both a professional and personal service and respond to any issues quickly and effectively.

Having had a son at University himself John understands the concerns that parents have when their child is living independently away from home for the first time and is happy to spend time discussing the tenancy agreement and the properties themselves with parents who are unfamiliar with the process of renting a property.   Buxton Properties aims to provide students with accommodation that is like a home-from-home for them, where they can be safe, comfortable and enjoy university life.

On a day to day basis John and Matthew are supported by Sarah who helps to manage the properties; and a team of workmen covering all trades who respond promptly and effectively to any maintenance issues that may arise.  They understand that you want your life to be as hassle free as possible and so aim to carry out any necessary repairs with the minimum of fuss and disturbance to the tenants.
